Powering a Sustainable Future: A Playbook on Scope 2 Emissions Reduction for Singapore Businesses

As Singapore transitions to cleaner energy sources such as solar and regional power grids, businesses play an active role to reduce their Scope 2 emissions, which come from electricity consumption.

Jointly developed by the Energy Market Authority, Energy Research Institute @ Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N), Singapore and Enterprise Singapore, this playbook serves as a vital resource for businesses, especially SMEs, providing practical strategies to enhance energy efficiency and lower electricity-related carbon emissions.

By offering actionable solutions, the playbook equips businesses with the tools in reducing their carbon footprint and supports the broader goal of decarbonising Singapore’s power sector.

Do note that this is an abridged version of the playbook, and the finalised playbook will be available by the first quarter of 2025.
