Learn more about how Singapore is transforming and future-proofing its electricity grid for greater energy resilience.

As Singapore decarbonises its power sector, our electricity supply mix will become more diverse with the deployment of more domestic solar and electricity imports based on renewable sources. The electricity grid will also become more complex with more distributed energy resources (DERs) such as rooftop solar photovoltaics, battery energy storage systems and electric vehicle chargers.

To support this transition, EMA has embarked on initiatives to develop capabilities for the future grid.
