Learn more about the available payment schemes for different types of consumers.
If you are buying electricity from SP Group, you may register with them under the Simplified Credit Treatment Scheme (SCT).
Under this scheme, you will be paid based on the prevailing electricity regulated tariff minus grid charges and payment will be credited to your monthly electricity bill. This is a fixed rate based on the regulated tariff that is reviewed each quarter. If you prefer to minimise the impact from market fluctuations, you can opt for this payment scheme.
If you prefer to receive the payment via GIRO, download this form and submit it with the Net Export Rebate application form.
To register with SP Group:
For further enquiries, please email install@spgroup.com.sg.
If you are buying electricity from a retailer, you may register with SP Services under the Enhanced Central Intermediary Scheme (ECIS).
Under the ECIS, any excess energy exported will be sold to the market and you will be paid based on the prevailing half-hourly wholesale electricity prices, of which a key component is the Uniform Singapore Energy Price (USEP). The export rate may vary from the regulated tariff depending on the real-time demand and supply conditions in the electricity market.
If you prefer to receive the payment via GIRO, download this form and submit it with the Net Export Rebate application form.
To register with SP Services:
You will need to register with the Energy Market Company as a Market Participant. You may also register your facility as a Non-Exporting Intermittent Generation Facility (NEIGF) if you do not wish to be paid for any excess solar-generated electricity exported to the grid.
Under the NEIGF, while you are not required to provide credit support or submit generation meter readings to the EMC, you need to pay an estimated fixed charge every six months. This charge is based on your nameplate rating and follows a standardised IGS Generation Profile for all consumers. Please refer to the Energy Market Company website for more information.
You will need to register directly with the Energy Market Company to sell your excess solar-generated electricity. You will also need to register your facility as a Generation Facility.
Please visit the Energy Market Company website for more information.
