Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

On 8 May 2024, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and EMA published a public consultation to seek public feedback on proposed legislative amendments to the Energy Market Authority Act, Electricity Act, and Gas Act. The public consultation closed on 5 June 2024. MTI and EMA received about 30 responses from the industry and public.
MTI and EMA appreciate the feedback provided by respondents. You may find a summary of the feedback received and our responses on the REACH website.
Following the consultation, EMA received feedback from 12 respondents. Please refer to the Final Determination paper for the summary of their feedback and EMA's determination.
Since the launch of the two-year regulatory sandbox to enhance the Demand Response (DR) and Interruptible Load (IL) programmes, we have seen an increase in the number of DR facilities and DR registered capacity. On the other hand, interest in the IL programme remained low and the revised parameters were not effective in increasing the IL capacity.
EMA is now seeking feedback on (i) the proposed regulatory enhancements to the DR framework post-sandbox and (ii) letting the sandbox for the IL programme run its course till 31 December 2024 before reverting back to the original IL framework. More details are outlined in the Consultation Paper.
